Welcome to our latest Product Spotlight, where we bring you a closer look at the newest enhancements and updates to A365. Our February 2025 release includes features designed to streamline workflows, improve financial oversight, and boost operational efficiency—helping businesses in the automotive, trucks & buses, and equipment industries work smarter and achieve more.
This update introduces capabilities and enhancements that simplify day-to-day processes, improve reporting accuracy, and provide deeper insights to support decision-making. Whether you’re focused on Finance & Operations, Sales, Service, or Rental, these enhancements are designed to optimize performance and help drive business growth.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new in A365 below.
Product update: F&O
Introducing Azure Maps for Finance and Operations
As part of Microsoft’s transition from Bing Maps to Azure Maps, A365 has adopted Azure Maps as the default mapping service.
This change ensures compatibility with Microsoft’s long-term roadmap for mapping services and provides more robust location-based capabilities moving forward.
Product update: Sales
Pro-forma invoice generation from Deliveries
Need a pro forma invoice? Now you can create and preview one directly from Deliveries or Delivery Devices in Dataverse – keeping things simple and efficient.
This new feature allows you to set invoice-related dates easily and review device details before finalizing. By integrating this step into existing workflows, teams can improve accuracy and save time when preparing invoices.
Pro-forma invoice generation from Deals
No need to leave the Deal view—generate a pro-forma invoice right from the Deal or Deal Device forms.
Key insights: The familiar Deal interface now includes a button for generating pro forma invoices. Click it, fill in the necessary fields, and preview the PDF instantly. The consistent, intuitive process helps your team work more efficiently across different sales contexts.
Invoice generation from Deliveries
Invoices can now be created directly from Deliveries and Delivery Devices with a new, user-friendly dialog.
What’s new: You’ll find straightforward fields for entering key dates, along with a toggle to display the invoice PDF immediately after it’s generated. Plus, new settings give you more control over how packing slips are processed.
These changes ensure that invoicing stays simple, even as your business scales.
Product update: Service
Controlled service appointment closure with validation
Closing service appointments is now more reliable. The system checks that all related work orders are complete before allowing closure, helping you avoid mistakes.
Why is this important? Imagine finishing a service call only to realize later that some tasks were overlooked. With this update, the system guides you through any incomplete steps, ensuring better service quality and reducing follow-up work.
Product update: Rental
Simplified sales order generation for rental inventory items
We’ve made managing inventory sales easier. You can now generate a sales order directly from a rental order upon confirmation. With the “Picking required” option enabled, the system sets up a clear picking and delivery workflow for you.
Why it matters: This update supports companies that require a picking process for all sales inventory items when sold from rental orders. When this option is enabled, the system initiates the picking process before delivery. If it is not enabled, items are delivered directly during the rental order delivery. This functionality ensures flexibility to meet different operational requirements.
Expanded leasing options from contracted devices
Leasing tasks are more flexible with this update. Now, you can access leasing options directly from both the Contract and Contracted Devices forms—no more navigating between screens.
Here’s what’s new:
- You can now access leasing options directly from the Contract, instead of starting from the Device form and selecting a customer first. This update adds new filtering to handle Branding hierarchy differences since the Contract form doesn’t have this information pre-applied as the Device form does.
- Lease price calculations happen automatically based on the selected leasing option.
- The new “Name” field allows prospect selection without the need to create full customer records.
The key improvement is the ability to start the leasing process from the Contract form, without needing to predefine a customer or navigate through the Device form. These enhancements reduce the time needed to finalize agreements and improve the overall leasing experience while providing more flexibility in the leasing process.
