Contributing to a common data model for the Automotive Industry on top of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Annata lends its industry-specific expertise to enable more seamless and consistent sharing of industry data across disparate systems
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA — July 15th, 2019 — An experienced independent solution provider (ISV) for the Automotive and Equipment industries, Annata today announced its collaboration with Microsoft and other industry leaders, to create the open source data model which is at the heart of the new Dynamics 365 Industry Accelerator for Automotive. This accelerator adds Annata’s industry-specific expertise to a common data model that can help speed time to market for ISVs seeking to develop new customer-centric approaches for marketing and sales processes within the automotive industry.
Annata has years of experience and proficiency in building solutions for the automotive and equipment industries based on Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft’s Power Platform. Working with Microsoft to share industry insights and expertise is a core part of Annata’s broader ambition to serve its customers even better by supporting a shared data language for automotive.
Today, all Annata 365 solutions are natively aligned with the Microsoft’s Common Data Model and the new Annata 365 for Sales solution will be among the first to be built natively using the data framework provided with the Dynamics 365 Industry Accelerator for Automotive.
“For our customers, this not only means having a great, ready-made solution from Annata to drive their digital transformation and customer engagements in marketing and sales, but also opens opportunities for organizations to share automotive data across solutions and technologies in a familiar, shared data language,” said Jóhann Jónsson, CEO Annata. “With the changes happening in the industry and the importance of new types of data driving decisions and engagements, we believe this is the right way to go for Annata and our customers.”
As an integral contributor to the Dynamics 365 Automotive Accelerator, Annata is helping to deliver value to the industry though standardizing the shape of automotive data and enabling interoperability, therefore allowing more collaboration and openness to drive processes forward. The automotive industry accelerator offers benefits to partners, ISVs as well as customers, creating an open initiative and deliver insights and value to the automotive industry. The effort to align a common data model for the automotive industry reflects industry best-practices, insight and integration across existing vehicle retail networks, and incorporating emerging mobility businesses.
“Siloed data can hinder digital transformation and innovation in automotive organizations with varied legacy systems and lack of shared data languages, so it is great to see partners like Annata supporting and embracing the Dynamics 365 Industry Accelerator for Automotive,” said John Reed, Director Automotive Customer Experience Solutions, Microsoft. “Enabling great experiences across physical and digital channels through a customer’s buying process is key to success and with Annata, we have a great example of a partner enabling organizations to drive improved customer experiences.”
