Speedy Hire Plc is the UK’s largest hire provider – 3,700 colleagues, 200 locations, 3,500 product lines, and a nationwide four-hour delivery promise built on knowing exactly where every asset is at every moment. When their existing ERP system reached end-of-life, they needed a replacement that could deliver real-time fleet visibility, live replenishment data, and secondary revenue capabilities at scale.
Working with Annata and Microsoft, Speedy implemented A365 alongside Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management across all 200 branches simultaneously. Today, every asset is tracked on 15-minute updates across up to six operational statuses in a single day, giving every branch the visibility to confirm availability, process returns, schedule inspections, manage repairs, and confirm the next hire in real time.
The result: increased return on capital expenditure, higher workforce productivity for front-office teams and engineers, improved customer service, and longer asset lifespans through integration with third-party systems for predictive stock management.
