In the ever-evolving landscape of equipment, automotive, and trucks & buses industries, staying ahead requires continuous innovation, operational efficiency, and deep industry expertise. At Annata, we’ve spent years refining and enhancing our solutions to support our customers’ growth and success. With that goal in mind, we’re excited to launch the Annata A365 Technical Blog – a dedicated space to share insights, updates, and stories about the evolution and continuous innovation of A365.
Our release schedule is aligned with Microsoft to help ensure a more streamlined update process – so be sure to check back regularly to get a deeper glimpse into the latest from A365, as we’ll have new highlights for each release.
The evolution of A365: A unified platform
The A365 journey began with a goal: to address a common challenge in the market—siloed ERP, CRM, DMS, and DDS systems often made it difficult for businesses to achieve streamlined business process management. Recognizing this, we took a new approach by developing a unified solution that would support more efficient, scalable operations. Our platform evolved from a collection of separate modules – spanning finance, aftersales, sales, rental, warranty, and dealer management – into an integrated solution designed to simplify complex business processes and better support our customers’ growth.
As part of this journey, we transitioned to Microsoft Dataverse to provide a more future-proof, scalable platform. This move laid the groundwork for a comprehensive, industry-specific solution capable of supporting businesses as they grow and adapt to market demands.
Evergreen & evolving: Our R&D commitment
We’ve tripled our R&D investment to ensure A365 remains the most advanced, AI-powered, and evergreen solution for the automotive, trucks & buses, and equipment industries. Since 2016, we’ve continuously invested in innovation, and between 2023 and 2030, we’re accelerating our commitment to drive the future of our industry.
We’ve allocated around 31% of our revenue to R&D—far exceeding the industry benchmark of 10–20% and approaching the 40% mark seen in major scaling phases. This investment will drive advancements in automation, AI, and industry-specific capabilities while deepening A365’s integration within the Microsoft ecosystem.
By 2026, our R&D team will grow to 150 full-time specialists, increasing development hours from 602,000 to over 2 million. That means A365 will always evolve alongside our customers’ businesses—never growing outdated, always staying ahead of the curve. With this commitment, we’re ensuring A365 remains an evergreen solution that continuously adapts to new challenges, technological advancements, and industry demands, keeping businesses ready for the future.
A365 today: One unified platform
The enhanced A365 launched in Q3 of 2024, bringing key changes, including role-based apps and a process-centric approach. Recognizing the need for a more customer-focused approach and a more intuitive user experience, we introduced features such as new workflows with fewer screens, mobile-optimized functionalities, and AI agents to simplify workflows and improve usability. These enhancements significantly reduce clicks, save time, and ultimately lower costs for businesses.
A365 has transformed into a single, unified platform that combines the capabilities of finance and operations (F&O) with the more intuitive, customer-centric capabilities of customer engagement (CE). This evolution has created a seamless experience across departments, enhancing operational visibility and efficiency.
The future of A365: AI-driven insights and continuous innovation
Looking beyond 2025, the next chapter of A365 focuses on leveraging AI agents and copilots to drive intelligent automation and enhance frontline decision-making. Our investment in a robust, industry-specific data model will enable advanced analytics, predictive insights, and more intuitive user experiences.
