Hi everyone,
I hope you’ve been well since our last post. In this update, I’ll be reflecting on our April webinar and the NADITA conference, as well as sharing highlights from some exciting recent Microsoft announcements related to Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Agents. As ever, there’s a lot going on and I hope you enjoy the update.
AI Webinar Part 1 Success
Our recent webinar, Empower Your Workforce: AI Agents for Operational Efficiency, held on April 23, was a great success. We had a record number of registrations from across the globe, and the feedback has been incredibly positive.
During the session, we showcased several prototype agents in action, demonstrating their ability to streamline and automate key business processes.
Here are two examples we shared that highlight the operational value of agents:
1. Enhanced technician notes capture, including multilingual voice input demo video
2. Generation of a detailed device sales description demo video
If you missed the webinar, you can watch the full recording below:
Looking ahead, the next session in this series will take place on July 3, where we’ll go hands-on in Copilot Studio, building agents using natural language and actions from our AI Enabler. Register for the session here.
NADITA Conference highlights
My recent trip to the NADITA conference was equally energizing. Meeting with CAT dealers from across North America provided valuable insight into industry needs and real-world challenges.
Our session was delivered to a packed room and sparked great conversations about how AI and agents can transform operations in the equipment sector. The big takeaway was clear. By using agents as digital employees working alongside teams, we can reduce manual, repetitive work and increase productivity.
Microsoft updates: What’s new for Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Agents
Microsoft recently announced several new capabilities that will begin rolling out over the coming months. While there is a lot to explore, here are some highlights that I believe will have a real impact across our industries:
- Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol support
This enables seamless collaboration between AI agents across platforms, helping create a more interoperable and scalable multi-agent environment.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Think of this like the USB-C for AI. Agents automatically gain updated actions and data when connected to an MCP server, making agent development and maintenance much easier.
- New Copilot Chat experience
A redesigned homepage, improved contextual search, project-based notebooks, a new agent store, and memory. These updates are designed to make AI feel like a natural and intuitive part of everyday work.
- Researcher Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot
This agent supports deep, multi-step research directly within work documents, combining OpenAI’s advanced capabilities with Microsoft 365 orchestration and search.
- Analyst Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot
Designed to help analyze complex data and provide detailed insights and recommendations. A powerful tool for more informed decision-making.
- Computer Use Agents in Copilot Studio
Now in early access, these agents can interact with websites and desktop apps, even if there is no available API. This opens up new possibilities for automating tasks across existing systems.
These announcements reflect how quickly AI tools are evolving, and how important it is for us to stay up to date so we can continue delivering value through our solutions.
Looking ahead
We’re excited to be part of Annata’s upcoming Innovation Day, where we’ll share the latest progress on our AI Enabler and OneAnnata Agents with colleagues across regions.
Some of our team will also be at the Microsoft AI Tour Kuala Lumpur on May 28, where we’ll explore the latest innovations and gather insights from industry leaders. If you’re attending, let’s find time to connect.
Thanks again for following our journey. Your continued support and engagement help us move faster and make a bigger impact. Let’s keep pushing forward and powering possibilities together.
See you soon,
Dave
